Meet with your candidate; help influence the debate on toxic chemicals

— expired

Summer is just about over, the kids are back to school, and we're busy preparing for the 2011 state legislative session. But before we fire up the phone banks, collect postcards, and draft legislation, we need YOU to make sure protecting kids' health from harmful chemicals will be a top priority in the 2011 State Legislature.

And now is the critical time to get involved! With elections just around the corner, candidates are very interested in issues that are important to voters (that's you!). Now is your chance to influence the debate. We need to make sure that protecting kid's health from toxic chemicals with be a top priority for our elected officials.  Can you set up a meeting with your state legislative candidates to find out their position on this issue? Learn more and sign up by clicking here.

Dangerous toxic chemicals lurking in kid's products, isn't an unfortunate anomaly, it's the reality that parents and concerned consumers face every time they walk into the store. The good news is, this isn't necessary! Many responsible companies have stopped using toxic chemicals in their products in favor or safer chemicals.

When it comes to the health of our children and the environment, companies shouldn't have a choice about whether they are responsible or not!

Meeting in person with candidates for state legislator is one of the most important way's you can help. You are not expected to be a policy expert. Candidates enjoy talking to REAL PEOPLE who live in their district. Setting up and attending a meeting is simpler than it sounds. We will help you every step of the way.

We need to start setting up meetings right away. If you want to learn more, or think you can help click here to sign up.

It's time to get serious about protecting kids from toxic chemicals,
