Extra! Extra! The Safe Baby Bottle Bill received two ringing endorsements this week from The Seattle Times and The Tacoma News Tribune.
The Seattle Times Editorial Board had this to say:
Washington lawmakers in 2008 acted to keep toys with toxic chemicals out of the hands of children. Apply the same good instincts to hazardous baby bottles, drinking cups and plastic tableware used by children. . . . .
Enough serious doubts have been raised about the health effects of the chemical bisphenol A, known as BPA, to support phasing those products out of the marketplace.

problems in children, exposure to that chemical ought to be avoided

The New York Times also editorialized this week in favor of eliminating BPA.
We wholeheartedly agree!
