The news is out -- male sperm counts are declining and sperm quality is decreasing. Many scientific studies have linked men’s reproductive capabilities to unnecessarily toxic chemicals found in your everyday products.

That’s right, gentlemen: That Lure-the-Ladies scented “men’s body spray” may be making you Seedless-in-Seattle.

So today, CHANGE is launching a campaign to SOS: SAVE OUR SPERM.

A few chemicals with scientific evidence linked to decreased sperm count or quality include Bisphenol-A (BPA), cadmium, mercury, phthalates, PBCs, lead, parabens, perchloroethylene, carbaryl, and triclosan. All of these can easily be reduced or eliminated through regulation AND alternatives. Government should put the safety of human lives first, and make sure that these toxins stay out of the stuff we buy, our workplaces, our environment and especially OUR SPERM!

Thousands of new chemicals are introduced every year, and scientists and doctors say that rules developed 30 years ago are not protecting people today.

So, what can you do to help protect generations of sperm and future Americans from toxic chemicals? Call on your legislators to protect health over protecting the chemical industry. Take a close look at sperm-unfriendly chemicals and eliminate them from our lives.

Ask your Congress member to co-sponsor the Toxic Chemicals Safety Act of 2010 (HR 5820) -- this is the strongest toxics reform bill ever introduced. Send a strong message today!
